Review & Description

Everyday objects take on entirely new forms and structures when viewed through the Meade 9200 Microscope. From the cube-shaped structure of common table salt to microorganisms within a tiny drop of pond water, the 9200 enables the inquiring child or adult hobbyist to explore the hidden realms of the physical world in incredible detail.

With its all-metal body and optical glass lenses, this small microscopes is built with quality components that will deliver years of sharp, high-resolution observing. Included with each 9200 are three turret-mounted objective lenses (4x, 10x, and 40x), combined with a 10x wide-field eyepiece, yielding effective magnifications of 40x, 100x, and 400x.

This microscope uses a rack-and-pinion system for precise image focusing. Each cell, amoeba, or crystal will become surprisingly clear and larger-than-life with the 9200. Standard equipment also includes a six-aperture rotary diaphragm for lighting control, a substage condensing lens, and the Meade five prepared/five blank slide set. This is a great introductory microscope for the blossoming child-scientist or adult looking to get a bit closer to the microscopic world.
